Bogue

Bogue from Detroit was active in the early 2000's: Dan Maister (RIP), Matt Blake (RIP), and Mike Walker. Eric Cook (Gravitar, Bantam Rooster) drummed for one show, Leigh Sabo (Slumber Party) sometimes sang back-ups, Ko Melina (Dirtbombs) played bass occasionally, and Bill Hafer (Human Eye, Paybacks) played drums after Matt left. Bogue recorded an album ("How'd Your Feel About Talkin' to Me") that wasn't released at the time but was released on Jett Plastics Recordings in 2024.

"BOGUE, to me, is the summation of all things great. Three cats from Detroit, with the taste and style to trim the fat, cut, paste, and hold it altogether with grooves that just won't quit. It ain't "indie rock", it ain't garage rock, it ain't even ROCK rock. Yet the BOGUE sound is all those things and more. They pull as much outta funky 70's Bo Diddley as 50's rockin' Bo Diddley. They get as much mileage outta Snatch and the Poontangs as the Gories. As much outta the Gun Club as the Stones. What I'm tryin' to get through is that BOGUE is the real deal. The true low down greasy grit that makes great rock-n-roll. Of course, it's all about coppin' some licks and grabbin' some beats, but you also have to wanna make 'em your own. BOGUE isn't about payin' tribute, they're about bein' part of the lineage." - T. Jackson Potter
